1 : DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO GO TO MOROCCO ?
For a stay in Morocco (less than 3 months), you only need a valid passport. Please note that for some countries a visa is required, please contact the Moroccan consulate in your country of residence.

2 : SHOULD WE GET SOME DIRHAMS BEFORE WE GO ?
No, you can change them on the spot as soon as you arrive at the airport, at the exchange offices, banks, or through an automatic teller machine. Attention it is prohibited to import or export dirhams. Remember to change only what is necessary.

3 : SHOULD I GIVE A TIP MOROCCO ?
Tip in Morocco is not an obligation, but for a particularly good service, leave 10% of the total bill in restaurants. Between 10 and 50 DHs for hotel employees (porters, chambermaid). Your guides and drivers also expect a tip. You can leave a certain amount at your discretion. Never give money to children, bring pencils or pens.

4 : WHAT IS THE TEMPERATURE IN MOROCCO? 
Morocco is a country where the weather is beautiful all year round. In winter we look for the heat and the blue sky in the Moroccan South and the desert. 6: HOW MANY PASSENGERS DO YOU NEED FOR A 4X4 VEHICLE ?
The maximum number of passengers in a 4×4 vehicle is six to seven passengers, but for greater comfort we limit the number to 4 or 5 passengers per vehicle.

7: DO YOU HAVE TO BRING A SLEEPING BAG TO SLEEP AT THE BIVOUAC ?
We provide tents, sheets and blankets, if you want more comfort you can bring a down.

8 : What is the entrance fee for KASBAHS and MONUMENTS ?
The price remains symbolic, about 10 Dhs per person. Don’t hesitate to accept the services of the local guide. Tip at your discretion: count about 50 to 100Dhs for a group.

9: CAN I ARRANGE MY OWN ITINERARY ?
You want to follow a particular itinerary arrange a custom trip, contact us and we will study your project with you. We will bring you the best solution with its logistics: transportation, accommodation, meals, etc.

10 : HOW MANY DAYS DOES IT TAKE TO VISIT MARRAKECH ?
3 days to a week, if you want to see museums, living places (souks, mellah,…), historical places (Ben Youssef, Bahia palace, El Badi, Koutoubia mosque, saâdians Tombs), gardens (Majorelle, Menara, or even Palm) and make a turn in the Guéliz.

11 : HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO VISIT THE FILM STUDIOS NEAR OUARZAZATE ? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO VISIT ?
The film studios are located within 10 km of Ouarzazate. For a guided tour of more than 1/2hours, count about 50 Dhs.

12: WHAT ARE THE IMPERIAL CITIES OF MOROCCO ?

13 : WHICH ACCOMMODATIONS DURING MY 4X4 TOUR ?
We select the most typical accommodations in the exceptional sites of the stages. Hotels, riads, bivouac under a nomadic tent in the middle of the dunes and Kasbahs. The latter are made of mud, a mixture of Earth and straw, an ancient process that isolates both cold and heat. All those who have travelled with us have fond memories of the place and the welcome that has been done.

17 : HOW DO I BOOK A TRIP ?
By making a reservation request (following a payment of 30% by bank transfer our bank details will be sent to you by email following your request or by credit card), by making a pre-booking request (an advisor will contact you by email within 24 working days following your request to complete the reservation with you) or by telephone.

18 : WHAT IS A PRE-BOOKING ?
– A pre-booking corresponds to a request for a quote on a selected trip.
– No time lost: as soon as you receive your pre-booking, a travel advisor will take care of your request and send you an order form. You will then be able to make a reservation request.

19: HOW DO I PAY FOR MY STAY ?
Two possibilities :

Your file will be sent to our billing department. You will receive an invoice in your name and address within 48h to 72h business hours.

23: CAN WE EXTEND OUR STAY ?
Yes. If you wish to extend your stay, we invite you to let us know at the time of booking so that we can best organize your stay.

24 : HOW LONG IS A HIKE ? 
A hike usually lasts one to two weeks. It’s the perfect time to make the most of it and get acclimatized. Karim Sahara can of course offer you varying lengths of time depending on your specific wishes.

25: WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO HIKE IN MOROCCO? 
Morocco is a very large country with many climates, where it is possible to hike all year round: desert in winter and mountain in summer. Thus the best periods for the desert and the Meadows-Saharan massifs are from October to March, the hottest periods are from May to November but also correspond to the seasons for the mountain.

27: WHAT BEHAVIOURS SHOULD BE ADOPTED IN ORDER NOT TO EMBARRASS THE MOROCCANS ?

Morocco is a Muslim country, so special attention should be paid to dress. For example, wear loose clothing covering the shoulders and under the knees, especially in the south of Morocco and in small villages and nomads. During the month of Ramadan, avoid drinking, eating and smoking in public during the day. Do not give the children money, otherwise they risk not going to school to be able to beg from the tourists. Prefer to give pens, notebooks, clothes and sweets directly to the schools or associations that will transmit them directly. Do not enter a mosque, only the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is accessible to non-Muslims.

28 : WHAT IS THE MOROCCAN Currency? 
The Moroccan currency unit is the dirham (DH) divided into 100 centimes. There are notes of 20, 50, 100 and 200 DH, coins of 1, 5 and 10 DH and 5, 10, 20 and 50 centimes. It is strongly advised that cheques and your credit card, almost universally accepted. These are the safest means of payment.

30 : QUE PEUT-ON RAMENER D’UN VOYAGE AU MAROC ?
The most representative memory of Morocco is the famous carpet. If you choose a traditional tajine dish, consider buying a cookbook. Beauty products made from natural products like argan oil, cream and perfumes?will always be appreciated. Traditional clothing such as jellaba, slippers and scarves. 31: WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT SHOULD YOU BRING FOR A TRIP TO THE MOROCCAN DESERT ?

Know what?you will need in most circuits : a sleeping bag, a pair of hiking shoes first of all to be comfortable, a backpack or travel bag, and a small hiking bag for the business of the day. What about clothes: T-shirts or cotton shirts, canvas hat, underwear and socks? It is also recommended to bring your own pharmacy.

32 : CAN WE FIND COMFORTABLE CONDITIONS IN THE DESERT ?
Our bivouacs meet the comfort needs of our guests. Well-placed tents bring all the comfort necessary to spend beautiful nights in the middle of the desert under the starry sky. The campsites have tents with bed, sanitary, framing, catering and quality services.

33: CAN WE TAKE A RIDE ON A DROMEDARY ?
Almost anyone can do it. For beginners, each dromedary is attached to the previous one. At the front of the saddle, there is what?you need to hang on. There is no obligation to climb at all times, in fact one alternates the climb and the walk.

34: CAN WE GET A GUIDE ?
To hike in the desert and in the mountains, a qualified guide is essential. He is your contact person, he guides you and he listens to all your questions. He knows the different tribes, the Nomads, and can act as an intermediary to better discover the country and its inhabitants. We advise you to take a specialized guide to visit the Medinas of the big cities. In Marrakech and Fez, he will enrich your visit with his knowledge and his knowledge of the history of every street
