3 Days Erg Lihoudi – Erg Chegaga

Day 1: Ouarzazate-Tamnougalte -Tamgroute -Erg Lihoudi
Departure in 4×4 to the ERG Lihoudi. Crossing of the Draa Valley, called “Valley of 1000 kasbah” then Agdz, Tamnogalte (great kasbah), Zagora, Tamgroute where we visit a Koranic library and pottery workshops. Then we take the desert trail to the ERG Lihoudi. Arrival at the bivouac, where we spend the night.

Day 2 : Erg Lihoudi- Erg Chegaga
Departure from the Lihoudi Erg to the Chegaga Dunes (300m high). Passing through M’hamid, visit of a kasbah then 1 hour of Dromedary. Stop at the sacred Oasis, lunch. Then arrive in Chegaga for the sunset on the “Sandy sea”, walk in the dunes followed by a traditional nomadic evening with music and songs. Overnight in bivouac.

Day 3: Chegaga – Ouarzazate
Departure from Chegaga and return to Ouarzazate. Crossing lake Iriki and stopping at Foum Zguid for lunch. Then crossing the Zguid Valley and the palm grove, visit the carpet village of Taznakht. Arrival in Ouarzazate with a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt.
