Day 1: Marrakech – Ait benhaddou – Rose Valley – Dades
Morning departure in 4×4 towards the High Atlas and the Tichka pass (2260 m). Then, you take the direction of the beautiful site Télouet where you join the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou by the old caravan trail. Lunch and visit of this jewel classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. You continue to Dadés via Ouarzazate and the Skoura palm grove. Arrival at the end of the afternoon, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2 Jour: Dades– Tinghir – Erg Chebbi
You are now leaving for the south and the desert. You stop at Rissani, famous for its date market and built near the ruins of the legendary Sijilmassa. After lunch, you take a sandy trail to Merzouga. There, you are invited to a camel ride before watching the sunset over the dunes and enjoy the traditional mint tea. Dinner around a campfire, accompanied by nomadic songs. Overnight at the foot of the dunes of the Erg Chebbi.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Zagora
Crossing in 4×4 the immensity of the stone desert up to Alnif. After lunch, you continue through the boughafer massif to the Zagora oasis. Free city tour. This region is the cradle of the Saadian dynasty which reigned in the 16th century and conquered Timbuktu. Dinner and overnight in our guesthouse.
Day 4 : Zagora – Tamnougalt – Marrakech
Morning departure to Marrakech. From Zagora to Agdz the road goes along the Draa Valley, a valley lined with palm groves, fields and many villages in the mud, lunch in Tamnougalt (an old casbah in Agdz), continue the road through the Anti-Atlas “Black Mountain” until Ouarzazate then towards Marrakech by the Tichka pass.
