Marrakech-Three Valleys( Ourika)-Marrakech:
It is a relaxing walk in the heart of the Berber country. You will leave Marrakech at 9: 30 am from your place of accommodation by the Bab Ighlil (Bab means gate) in the direction of the Ourika, across the plain of Haouz. At 30 kilometers, discover a village Jemaa of Ghmat
You will then reach the valley, with a succession of exceptional views and small villages with mud houses. Below, the wadi Ourika winds its way around a mosaic of orchards and fields. After khemis, you should head towards the very authentic village of Aghbalou and take the road of Ukaïmeden which culminates at 2.650 meters. There begins a secondary road, an old Berber track recently and partly tarred, alternating desert landscapes with more green landscapes, with in the distance the snow-covered mountains, from winter to early spring. Arrival at the small Berber village of Asni where a stop is planned to eat. Lunch is possible at the local. It is a very popular experience in general with a natural food partly produced on site. This experience helps a family.
Then depart to the plateau of Kik by a trail and then by a tarmac path lined with small villages with many children who for some drive herds of goats. In the spring, fields of wheat as far as the eye can see brightened by poppies make the landscape an impressionist painting. The finish on the plateau is very beautiful and it dominates the dam of Lalla Takerkoust with its artificial lake, a gigantic body of water with blue and green reflections according to the light and a length of more than 7 kilometers. A touch of freshness and calm at the gates of the Red City. The dam is impressive. It was built during the years of protectorate and is more than 350 meters long by 60 meters high.
Return in thirty minutes (40 kilometers) to Marrakech, by Tameslhot.
*** lunch can be after Asni, on the road to Amizmiz, in a restaurant
